REDDITCH widened the gap over second-placed Chaddesley Corbett in Worcestershire League Division Two after seeing off Alvechurch and Hopwood by 79 runs.

With Corbett’s clash rained off, the gap is now 27 points.

Redditch batted first and made 201-7 and dismissed the hosts for 122. Redditch are at home to Wormelow on Saturday (1pm start).

Feckenham’s clash with Evesham was called off. They are at home to Lye on Saturday (noon start).

In Warwickshire Division One, Studley bagged a losing draw against Nuneaton.

Bowling first, Studley dismissed Nuneaton for 143, with wickets for Luke Deeprose (4-48), Stuart Harris (2-22), Josh Gandy (2-47) and Jack Williams (2-11). The Bees fell short in 50 overs on 139-9, despite runs for Jawaad Nazir (47) and Jack Williams (33).

Studley go to Hampton and Solihull on Saturday (1pm).
