PROMOTED Studley will be aiming for survival when they start the Warwickshire Cricket Premier at Rugby.

The Bees have kept the same side which roared to promotion in 2015 with experienced players such as Brandon Miller, Stuart Harris, Simon Stamenkovic all proving key to staying up.

Redditch batsman Luke Davies has moved to Birmingham Road side, while Worcestershire bowler Luke Deeprose has also bolstered their options.

Studley's preparations for the new season have been disrupted by the wet weather as all their warm-up games have been washed out.

Captain Steve Rose said: "I have never known it to be this bad, even if it's a bit we normally play at least one match in preparation.

"We extended indoor training but it's not the same as actually playing outdoors.

"The Premier Division is a very tough level, there are quite a few ex-Birmingham League sides in it and a few unknown entities for us.

"Last season we focused just on winning matches one game at a time and we'll approach the season like that again.

"Luke joins from Redditch and he's an experienced batsman but the team is very much the same as last year, we've a good mix of youth and experience."

Meanwhile, Studley's junior training starts from this Wednesday from 6pm until 8pm.

Boys and girls aged between six and 18 years-old can try a free taster session.
