STUDLEY manager Kevin Kingham has made a bet with top scorer Jarrell Hylton to score 35 goals this season.

Hylton, whose older brother Jermaine plays for Swindon, has scored ten goals so far as Studley continue to hit form.

The Bees boss said: "Jarrell is playing very well at the moment and he's bought some very expensive new boots with bright colours after tearing his old pair in a friendly game.

"I'll buy him a new pair at the end of the season if he scores 35 goals or we'll burn his old pair if he doesn't.

"It's only a joke but he's playing so well and Jarrell's got the ability to score that many goals."

Studley recorded their fifth win of the season in Midlands Division One when they saw off Stafford Town 3-1 on Saturday.

The Bees had fallen behind but Steve Evans levelled with his first ever goal for the club.

Daniel Byford added a second just before the break, while Hylton finished them off.

The win came on the back of a stirring performance against Alvechurch. Daniel Dineen scored twice as the local rivals drew 2-2 but Church prevailed 5-3 on penalties.

Kingham said: "We're a team that has to play on the front foot and I thought we did well.

"But we built on an excellent performance against Alvechurch in the Worcestershire Senior Urn last week.

"I told the lads there was nothing to fear because Alvechurch are a very good side from a level above but we gave a very good account of ourselves.

"We played well and only lost on penalties but it was the sort of performance we can build on.

"I told the lads before Stafford I would be disappointed if we didn't play well again."

Studley may well be without captain Dave Edwards, who picked up an injury on Sunday playing for Black Horse.

The Bees go to Cadbury Athletic on Saturday (3pm ko).
