PROMISING young fighter Leo Fanthome will be representing Redditch Community Amateur Boxing Club in an international boxing tournament this weekend in Felsted, Denmark.

The 17-year-old will face a fellow 64 kilogram boxer during the competition in his third amateur bout and Fanthome is quietly confident ahead of his bout. Fanthome explained he is subject to an intense training regime.

He said: “I’m running at 6am every morning, weight training three times a week and squad training three times a week. I hope to win as it will definitely raise my profile as an amateur boxer. “I want to be the face of boxing in Redditch.”
