WHITE Hart provided three players for the Heart of England Over-60s team in a comfortable inter-league victory over Coventry.

Ian Humphreys, Ray Richards and Sheila Humphreys all won their ties in the match which was played at Ye Olde Knowle Bowls Club.

The Redditch club's Saturday Warwick/Worcester Premier League team gained a much-needed home victory over West Warwicks in Division Four.

Impressive wins from Sue Sugden (21-7) and Paul Matthews (21-8) were backed up by Di Pritchard (21-16), Dave Edwards (21-19).

Dave Kings (21-14), captain Stan Pritchard (21-20), and Mike Estell (21-13), resulting in a 224-202 scoreline which takes White Hart off the foot of the table and gives them half a chance of avoiding relegation providing they can win the rest of their home matches.

In the South West Birmingham League Over-60s Division One, Ray Richards (19-21) and Ian Humphreys (16-21) played the difficult Olde Knowle green well, but White Harts A team were easily beaten 80-126.

The B side though were comfortable winners at home to Marlpool A by 123-73.

John Meredith, Gill Croft, Sheila Humphreys, Rob Faulks and Sue Sugden all won their ties to take White Hart up to seventh position in Division Four.

White Harts team in the Yardley and District Wednesday League Division Three performed well at Ye Olde Knowle, with wins for captain Paul Matthews, Dave Edwards and Kirk Wright - in a narrow 15 shot defeat.

The Sunday Northfield and District league Division Five B team are also well in the promotion hunt after a 155-125 home victory over Selly Park B.

Easy wins for Wright (21-8) and Sheila Humpreys (21-9) were supported by Dave Edwards (21-18), Neil Laxton (21-14), Gill Croft (21-17), and Sugden (21-17).

In the Heart of England Division One, White Hart A stay at the foot of the table after an away defeat at Ye Olde Knowle A despite Paul Matthews and Ray Richards again playing the difficult green excellently to win their individual ties.
