WHITE Hart Over-60s A gave one of the club’s finest ever displays in defeating league leaders Moseley CC A by 35 shots at home in Heart of England Division One.

Stephen Turner (21-12), Ray Richards (21-11) and Ian Humphreys (21-14), gave the Redditch club a faultless first half, which was then backed up by Graham Arnott (21-9), and close defeats for Mike d`Abreu (20-21) and Norman Batchelor (19-21).

White Hart had only dropped a total of three shots in an incredible 123-88 victory. This was the club’s first-ever home win over Moseley.

The Over-60s B team defeated Weoley Castle WMC A110-89. Captained by Brian Chatterley, they saw Mike Estell (21-20), Ken Brown (21-11), Anne Batchelor (21-10) and Mick Perrins taste victory.

White Hart’s Wednesday team jumped into second place in Yardley Wood and District League Division Three with an impressive 159-135 away win over Bournville Sports B.

Captain Paul Matthews led by example with a 21-9 card, while Gill Croft (21-11) and Tim Hollingshead (21-14) both maintained their good form. John Meredith (21-19) and Kirk Wright (21-20) both finished strongly when looking beaten, and unbeaten Dave Kings also won narrowly 21-20.

In the Warwick and Worcester Premier League Division Four, White Hart suffered a 170-235 defeat at Erdington and Richmond.

Paul Matthews won easily 21-5 and Ian Humphreys gained a 21-20 victory, but that was as good as it got.
