WHITE Hart had a profitable week in the various crown leagues last week.

The Thursday B team beat Central Edgbaston convincingly at home, highlighted by impressive wins from captain Norman Batchelor (21-5), Dave Edwards (21-4) and Tim Hollingshead (21-5) and gaining 16 Heart of England league points in the process.

The Friday over-60s B team also won comfortably at home with Weoley Castle WMC being the victims in their Division Three clash.

White Hart saw Mike Estell, Gill Croft, Anne Batchelor all winning to single figures, with points also gained by Tom Hawkes and Ken Brown.

The Over-60s A team also gave a fine away performance in Division One against a very strong Moseley CC team, only losing by 19 shots.

Wins by Ian Humphreys (21-16) and Stephen Turner (21-14) were supported by close defeats from Norman Batchelor (19-21) and Graham Arnott (17-21).

In the Sunday Northfield and District League Division Three, White Harts A team were too strong at home for Hockley Heath, producing six winners and valuable league points which will help to improve their lowly league placing.

The B teams run of victories came to an end at Stoke Prior in Division Five.

Kirk Wright (21-9) and Dave Edwards (21-17) gave them two points while Tim Hollingshead (18-21), captain Di Pritchard (17-21), and Roger Broome (16-21) all performed well on a tricky green, but couldnt prevent a 125-152 away defeat.
