REDDITCH boxer Andy Robinson says if you want excitement, get to Wolverhampton Civic Hall on Saturday night.

His clash with Prince Davis for the vacant Midlands Area super-middleweight championship is one of three title fights on the 'You Asked For It' show.

And the 30 year-old from is confident he's going to give fight fans what they want.

"I like to be an exciting fighter who gives value for money," said Robinson. "I want to win this title in style - and get people talking about me.

"I like to entertain the crowd."

Davis, a former Midlands Area middleweight champion from Ilkeston, is also has a fan-friendly fighter.

Robinson said: "I don't study my opponents, but I'm told he likes to stand there and trade - and so do I.

"I out tough people, I outwork them and I don't think he realises how strong I am.

"He's in a whole lot of trouble.

"They don't call me 'D'Animal' for nothing !"

If he wins this weekend, Robinson wants a rematch with Frank Buglioni.

Last November, he lost a fight-of-the-year contender to the Londoner for the vacant WBO European title and said: "I want Buglioni again. I need to put that to bed.

"What happened the last time we fought has been eating away at me. It keeps me awake at nights !

"If there had been another minute, I would have won.

"That was my first 10-round fight and if I had believed in my fitness more, I would have put it on him from the first round and broken him down.

"I know if I fought him again I would win.

"That fight has given me a lot of belief.

"Buglioni is ranked numbert by the WBO and that makes me think I should be in the top 10 as well.

"I believe I'm at that level. I feel like I'm an established, seasoned fighter now." Robinson says if the Buglioni fight doesn't happen, he's planning to drop down to middleweight.

"Because of my size, I will be able to dominate," reasoned Robinson and if he does campaign at 11st 6lbs that would put him on a collision course with Tommy Langford and Craig Cunningham.

Cunningham currently holds the Midlands Area middleweight title and though Robinson says they are friends, he added: "If we have to fight, we have to fight. It's just business, that's all."

Robinson says he's sparred "loads of rounds" with Langford and added: "We always have a war. You could sell tickets when we spar !"

The show also features the Black Country derby between Jason Welborn and Ryan Aston for Welborn's Midlands Area light-middleweight title and the vacant Midland Area featherweight title is up for grabs when Paul Holt and Bobby Jenkinson clash.

Tickets are available from 08703 207000.
