WHITE Hart’s A team produced the result of the week in the Sunday Northfield League as they defeated Weoley Castle A in Division Three.

The B team were beaten at Wythall but had three winners on a tricky green – Gill Croft gave a fine display of accurate bowling in a 21-2 win and was supported well by Neil Loxton (21-20) and Tim Hollingshead.

Captain Di Pritchard was just pipped 20-21 in a marathon encounter while Kirk Wright managed a double-figure score among the five losing cards.

The Warwick and Worcester team were defeated by Olton despite having six winners from the 12 cards.

White Hart’s three most consistent performers so far this season – Ian Humphreys (21-10), Paul Matthews and Stuart Rice – were joined by Tony Sugden (21-17), Dave Kings (21-16) and Ken Brown (21-17), while Rob Faulks' 8-21 defeat did not reflect how well he played in a quality tie. The Redditch team have now already played home and away maybe the two best teams in the Premier League Division Four and captain Stan Pritchard is hopeful his team will record some better results from now on.

The Friday Over-60s A team lost to Acocks Green College in Division One, having just the one winner Mike D`Abreu who won a tight game 21-20. But Graham Arnott, Ray Richards, Ian Humphreys, Stephen Turner and Norman Batchelor had good double figure scores.

White Hart 's debut have also entered a team in Division Three of the Yardley Wood and District league this season and their first match of the campaign resulted in an away defeat at Selly Park. Captained by Paul Matthews, John Meredith and Dave Kings were their only two winners.

Wright came back from a disastrous 11-0 deficit to get within two points of his opponent before slipping to a 15-21 defeat while Neil Loxton competed well on a difficult away green.
