STUDLEY will be looking forward to providing some stability after their turbulent season came to an end.

The Bees finished a testing campaign tenth in the Midlands Division One.

But chairman Barry Cromwell wants to avoid a repeat of this year, where they had three managers.

Studley started the campaign with Paul Smith at the helm but he and several players joined Bromsgrove Sporting in September.

Adrian Mander swapped the Victoria Ground for the Beehive when he joined from Bromsgrove and rebuilt a more than competitive team, with the likes of Josh McKenzie in fine form.

But Mander’s exit in March because of work commitments sparked a player exodus, leaving Kevin Kingham to take the reins and in sole charge.

He was forced to draft in a host of players to see the Bees out until the end of the season.

The chairman is set to talk with Kingham next week to discuss plans for the future.

He said: “It has been a strange season, it’s not very often you have three managers without actually sacking any of them. I am planning to talk to Kevin next week and hopefully what we want is more stability.

“We started well and then lost Paul but Adrian built a good side but Kevin did well to find players and make sure we got to the end of the season.”

Michael Murray, the only Studley player to play through the campaign, was named player of the season, while Kingham was clubman of the year after his efforts.

The Bees ended the season with a creditable 1-1 draw against Littleton and a 5-3 defeat to Pelsall Villa on Saturday, with Shane Brassington bagging a brace and Corey Lloyd scoring.

Meanwhile, the club’s under-18s can overhaul Pilkington XXX to win the Midlands Floodlit League Western Division if they win their final game against Lye Town.
