St Bede's Year 8 basketball team defeated Walkwood in the district final
THE Year 8 basketball team from St Bede's Middle School were crowned district champions after beating Walkwood in the final last week.
St Bede's showed spirit to bounce back from a 6-2 deficit to win 36-10 at Arrow Vale High School.
Matthew Cooke again top scored with 18 points, while Leo Kuriakose scored four points.
There were also two points each for Braden Wigginton, Jamie Welsh, Joe Walsh, Charlie Ereaut, Owais Naseer, Joe Fielder, Josh Merry and Jamie Sheehy.
