REDDITCH Swimming Club’s ‘A’ team powered to a convincing round one victory in the Worcester League.

The Kingfishers recorded 212 points as they notched up 16 individual wins and five relay successes.

The ‘B’ team also battled to a creditable third spot.

Head coach Chris Britt said: “With so many good swimmers at our club, it can be difficult to keep everyone motivated through regular involvement in competitions.

“However, having two teams in this league gives me the opportunity to let around 50 swimmers represent the club at every gala. I must mention Meg Moss, who swam despite a knee injury.”
