WITH the weekend’s weather not entering the festive spirit towards the local football scene, just two Redditch and South Warwickshire Combination fixtures beat the conditions.
In the BSA Cup, Wychbold RBL reached the semi-finals with a 3-2 victory over Rubery Bridge, with goals for Brett Mould, Josh Weatherby and Matthew Carter.
In Division One, leaders Millfield Rovers kept their championship challenge on track as two goals from Shane Hancox and one each from Grant Hill and Kieron Waldron set up a 4-2 victory over Dagnell End Rovers.
