REDDITCH Men were edged 3-2 out in a thrilling encounter by West Midlands Division One side Streetly.

They suffered a third successive defeat but came close to earn a share of the spoils.

Streetly had opened the scoring from a short corner but Andy Billingham levelled for the Kingfishers with his first effort of the season.

Streetly continued to put pressure on the Redditch goal in the second half and two quick goals saw them streak into a 3-1 lead.

But Redditch remained undeterred and Tom Dunkley, bagged his third in three games to give them hope.

Dunkley almost brought the scores level having rounded the ‘keeper late on, however his tame effort drifted wide.

On Saturday, Redditch welcome Bromsgrove in a local derby.

The Seconds were made to battle for a 3-3 draw against Wolverhampton.

Wolves scored two early goals to power into a 2-0 lead.

The second goal sparked Redditch into action, and with Adam Haslam brilliantly taking the ball down from an aerial in midfield and powering forward, but he missed his chance in front of goal.

Lee Beadon also produced some deft touches but Wolverhampton pressed forward and went 3-0 up on the counter-attack inside 20 minutes.

Redditch again produced the better hockey to pull one back before half time, with Adam Haslam slotting home.

Captain Rocky Fowkes and Haslam then hit the target to complete the comeback as Redditch responded with gusto in the second half.

The Thirds got the better of West Bromwich 4-1, with goals for Connor Adams (3) and Tim Gibbs.

The Ladies Firsts suffered a 6-0 loss to Worcester.
