Alcester 52, Birmingham Exiles 0

ALCESTER got their Midlands Division Four West (South) account under way with an eight-try demolition of Birmingham Exiles Man of the match skipper, Jack Green, led the way again with another hat-trick of tries, to continue his prolific start to the season.

Enforced changes meant Alcester went into their first home league game with a completely new and youthful front row of Louis Smith, debutant Jacob Turner and Henry Jenkins.

But touch downs for Scott Carmichael, Ryan Clark, Mika Pieri and Robbie Parker as well as Green’s treble saw off the Exiles.

Alcester travel to Coventry side Copsewood next week for their third league fixture, which kicks off at 3pm.

The seconds’ difficult start to the season continued, when they once again were forced to start short of numbers, which contributed to them being well beaten by a strong Pershore 2nd XV at King’s Coughton.

The club is holding its annual bonfire night on Saturday, November 1.
