ALVECHURCH had a fine Bank Holiday weekend with two wins in the Midlands Football Premier.
New signing Ben Markall bagged a brace and Connor Deards and Dale Edwards also scored as Church defeated Rocester 4-0 on Saturday.
Jack Cresswell then settled a hard fought match on Monday as the Lye Meadow outfit edged out Westfields 1-0.
It was the perfect start new manager Lee Adams, who was actually not present because of a pre-booked holiday.
But Adams' assistant, aided by Keith Rostill and Brendan Kelly, was pleased with the performances.
He said: "The Rocester game was a good one to start for us but Westfield was a tough match and I was very pleased by the effort of the lads, who defended well for a young side."
Church have also brought in Riccardo Reid from Redditch United but have lost centre back Scott Smith, who has teaed up with Paul Smith and Bromsgrove Sporting.
Alvechurch are set to tackle newly-promoted Lye Town on Saturday in the league (3pm ko).
