REDDITCH’S Commonwealth Games rider Beth Crumpton has been selected to represent Great Britain at the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Lillehammer.
The 20-year-old, who finished ninth in Glasgow last week, will race in the Under-23 age section at the tournament, which runs between September 2 and 7.
Current national champions, Annie Last and Grant Ferguson, will lead a young team for Great Britain in the cross country event, which also includes Iain Paton, Crumpton and Alice Barnes.
Coach Phil Dixon said: “The World Championships in Lillehammer will allow the riders to compete against the world’s best on what is a very tough and physical track, but one that this young team should enjoy racing on.”
