ASTWOOD Bank face another important game in their bid to remain in the Birmingham and District LeagueDivision Three when they take on mid-table rivals Kings Heath on Saturday (noon start).
Bank will be looking for a win which extends the gap over the four relegation places and also drags in their opponents from Birmingham.
After a good start, Kings Heath have struggled in recent weeks and are just one place and eight points ahead of Astwood, who won the Worcestershire League title last season.
Captain Steve Adshead said: "Saturday's clash is not a 'must-win' game but it's another step towards safety.
"Kings Heath started well but they've had a bit of a bad run.
"If we could get the win then we will go above Kings and also drag them into the situation."
Astwood saw their clash against Fordhouses abandoned without a ball being bowled in anger after last weekend's torrential rain.
With Jon Summer missing this weekend, left-arm spinner Dan Taylor will fill gap.
Adshead continued: "The frustrating thing about Saturday it was a chance to pull Fordhouses into the relegation battle.
"But there is nothing we could have done. We can't do anything about the weather."
