ALCESTER and Ragley entertained high-flying Kineton on Saturday and came away with a six-wicket win in Cotswold Hills League Division One.

Kineton elected to bat first and inched to 30 without loss from 14 overs after some tight bowling from Sam Westwood and Tim Jackson.

New batsman Ravi looked to up the tempo but after a couple of boundaries he was bowled by Capron for 16.

A flurry of wickets then fell with Mark Woolley trapping Cooper lbw for four before Arthur Bennett joined the attack and took two wickets in two balls in his first over.

Kineton soon collapsed from 60-2 to 89-9 and were bowled out for 107.

All the bowlers bowled well with Bennett returning 4-19 and Capron 3-14 being the most successful.

Bennett hit 47 not out as Alcester reached 108-4 in the 32nd over.

They next travel to Ashton under Hill on Saturday.
