REDDITCH United manager Liam McDonald has moved to allay fans' fears that attacking stars Jermaine Hylton and Omari Sterling-James are set for a move to Cheltenham Town.

The pair are currently training with the SkyBet League Two outfit, sparking fears United may sign up the pair if they impress Robins boss Mark Yates.

However, McDonald has assured supporters the move to train with Town was organised by himself and advisor Paul West.

He also confirmed last season's top-scorer Hylton and Sterling-James have signed deals keeping them at Redditch for next season.

"I am sure Jermaine and Omari will be playing for us next season, they have signed deals," assured Redditch's manager.

"I want the fans to know this has been organised by Paul and myself and that we are in control.

"It will be good for them to get some training at a full-time club.

"We want to develop players and see them move on and I am sure a lot of the players in our squad will go on to play at a higher level."

The Redditch attackers will also be involved in Cheltenham's pre-season games.

McDonald added: "If Cheltenham want to do a deal then we will see what happens.

"But I remain sure that both of them will be playing for Redditch next season."
