REDDITCH fighter Andy Robinson has been given to demonstrate skills on a national stage after being included on the under card of Frankie Gavin's European welterweight clash against Leonard Bundu.

D'Animal will be looking for his 12th straight professional win on Wolverhampton Civic on Friday, August 1.

It will be the first time the super middleweight will be fighting on television with Frank Warren's BoxNation channel broadcasting the fight.

Robinson's promoter PJ Rowson said: "Andy's 11 for nought now and he's impressed me, that's why we've put him on the under card of a really big fight.

"It's a chance to impress people and it's the first time he's been on television so it's another big step forward for him.

"If he can come through this then I think he's ready for even bigger fights.

"He could be having a Midlands Areas title fight by the end of the year and if he's successful in that then there's even more big fights coming to him next year."

An opponent to face Robinson for the six round fight has yet to be found and Rowson admits finding people prepared to face his man is proving difficult.

He added: "Andy's record means he's building a reputation as a fighter people don't want to face.

"People don't want to face him and be his 12th straight win. Also, the better the record and tougher the level of competitor he comes up against.

"We've gradually improved the standard of fighters and he's came through every test."
