ALCESTER were no match for the Wildmoor Spa League Premier Division leaders Stratford as they lost 4-0.

Stratford have already amassed 20 points after once again blasting their opposition, this time only dropping three games in the entire match.

Alcester pair Tim Price and Peter Bostock were no match for Callum Bailey and Rob Slatter as they went down 6-0, 6-1.

Meanwhile, Stratford captain Tim Page and Richard Monk also of course had a 6-0, 6-0 walkover before they too beat Price and Bostock 6-1, 6-1.

Bottom of the table Inkberrow were the surprise victors when they celebrated their first win of the season by beating Evesham 3-1 away from home.

Jim Richardson and Matt Saunders saw off Evesham’s Andrew Crowther and Ray Foster-Morison 6-3, 6-4 and beat Simon Wall andJack Castle 6-1, 6-0.

Nick Brookes and Gordon Keir (Inkberrow) then got the better of Wall and Castle 6-0, 6-1, but lost to Crowther and Foster-Morison 6-1, 6-4.

In Division One, Studley A remain top of the table but with a reduced score of 12 points instead of 16 after Chipping Campden, who they defeated 4-0, pulled out of the league.

Despite this setback, they powered to a 4-0 win over bottom of the table Shipston.

The cancellation of points against Campden generally lifted Studley B to third place with seven points despite having no match this week.
