REDDITCH CC suffered rain frustration as their Worcestershire League Division One clash against Harvington was abandoned.
The Kingfishers were well poised to record their first win of the season before the poor weather intervened.
South African Francois Mostert had made 53 not out off 88 balls and Thomas Phelan 39 as Redditch had reached 157-4 in the 39th over.
Captain Perry Derrick said: “It was a frustrating day as Francois and Thomas looked set to bat all day.
“There was nothing we can do, we had a break for rain and they hit 20 runs in one over before we went off again.”
Redditch take on fellow strugglers Pedmore in the league on Saturday (1pm start).
Meanwhile, Studley’s Warwickshire League Division One clash agaist North Barby was rained off. They go to Solihull Municipal on Saturday (1pm start).
