COOKHILL recorded a victory against Overbury in the Cotswold Hills League Division Four.
Stand-in skipper Andy Fennell won the toss and put Overbury in to bat and the bowlers took no time at all to rip into their opponents’ batting order, who were dismissed for 41.
Neil Shuttleworth bagged four wickets for eight runs of ten overs, while Mo Ali (3-14) and youngster Kieran Kite (2-4, 6.2 overs) were also in good form.
After losing a few early wickets and struggling on 15-3 skipper, Fennell arrived at the crease with a quick fire 22 not out to steady the ship with the ever solid batting of Jordan Hobbis (7 no).
The seconds got the better of Bidford with Liam Donohoe taking three wickets, and Roger Smith hitting 65.
