IN the Cotswold Hills League Division One, Alcester and Ragley made a strong start with a six-wicket win over Ashton-under-Hill.
Ashton recorded 206-5, only for Alcester to make 207-4 in reply.
They take on local rivals Bidford-on-Avon in the league on Saturday (1.30pm start).
In Division Four, Inkberrow were edged out by 14 runs by Stanway.
Stanway had made 183-5 and Inkberrow were bowled out for 169. They go to Blockley on Saturday.
