STUDLEY manager Paul Smith believes his team can overcome their hectic end to the season and secure a top four finish in the Midland Combination Premier.

The Bees are currently sixth in the table but have four games left to finish their campaign on a high note.

They go to Stafford Town tonight (7.45pm) and then entertain third-placed Nuneaton Griff on Saturday (3pm).

Studley complete the season with a double header against Atherstone, going to the Adders on May 29 (7.45pm) and playing them at home on May 3 (3pm ).

Smith said: “We play Atherstone twice who are fifth and third-placed Nuneaton so we’ve certainly got a good chance of finish as high a third.

“You would expect to win your home games so we’ve got a chance.”

Studley will welcome back striker Richardo Richards’ for tomorrow night’s trip to Stafford but they are missing several other players.

Charisma Agbonlahor is absent because of his work commitments and Richard Deeming’s wife has just given birth to a new baby.

Josh Westwood and Ryan Gardner are also absent.

Studley will be hoping to bounce back from Bank Holiday Monday’s 4-1 loss to champions Brocton.

They Bees had followed up last week’s excellent win over in-form Bromsgrove Sporting with a 3-2 win at Pelsall Villa, thanks to goals for Dan Carter, Richard Deeming and Sam Wills.

However, they were left to rue a series of errors against Brocton.

Smith added: “All the goals could have easily been avoided, we gifted Brocton all four goals.

“They are a good side and if you give them a chance they will take it with both hands.”
