Ledbury 35, Kings Norton 3

KINGS Norton came down to earth with a bump in a hastily rearranged game away to third-placed Ledbury in the Midlands Division Three West (South).

The Hopwood-based side had been due to travel to Cheltenham North but, as their pitch was deemed to still be unplayable, the previously postponed clash was re-organised.

Kings travelled in confident mood on the back of three good results, but soon came up against different and tougher opposition.

Ledbury were stronger in both their forwards and backs and, although the visitors battled hard, the home side took their chances.

Ben Manners was the only Norton player to get his name on the scoreboard with a solitary penalty.

Norton now sit precariously close to the relegation zone and will bid to get back to winning ways when they visit Old Wheatlyans on Saturday.
