FORMER Alcester Grammar School student Andrew Pozzi continues his return to action at the British Universities and Colleges Gatorade Nationals this weekend.

The sprint hurdler has recovered from the foot injury which saw him miss most of last year.

With the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow later in the year, the 21-year-old is keen to make up for lost time.

This weekend’s tournament in Sheffield will be another step on the road to recovery.

The Stratford-based runner has made a strong return, winning gold in the 60m hurdles at the Sainsbury’s British Athletics Indoor Championships two weeks ago.

That was enough to book his place in the 35-strong Team GB squad for the IAFF World Indoor Championships in Poland between March 7 and 9.

The University of Bath student also raced in the Sainbury’s Indoor Grand Prix at the weekend, finishing with a time of 7.72s in a race won by France’s Pascal Martinot-Lagarde.
