CONOR Smith sealed the overall title in the under-15s age section of the West Midlands Cross Country League with a strong display in Birmingham.

The Bromsgrove and Redditch AC runner secured second place at Perry Park, which combined with his previous results was enough to see off Jamie Ward and Ryan Ashworth to seal the championship.

The club’s under-15s boys team accumulated their highest points total of the season to finish fifth and seventh overall for the season.

The under-13s were BRAC’s strongest team during the campaign and they recorded third in Birmingham. Overall, they placed fourth out of 19 clubs for the season.

First finisher Amy Mijovic-Cauldwell took 10th place in the overall individual table.

Megan Nicod was BRAC’s only under-15s girl at four fixtures and was rewarded with a very creditable 20th overall after finishing 16th in the last race.

Under-17s runners James Downing (38th) and Lewis Anderson (43rd) ran in the league for the last time before progressing to the under-20s, while Katie Plummer missed the Perry Barr race but still finished 10th overall.

The club finished 12th in the combined league table based on all of the age groups.
