GEORGE Rowand led the way for Redditch Thaitans as the club’s junior fight team held their own at the Northern Muay Thai Open in Burnley.
With 175 competitors from across the country in action, there was stiff competition for the five-strong team.
Rowand powered to the final where he won his division and became Northern Open Champion.
Cameron Harris made it into the final but lost after a decision from the judges.
Ellie Pardy reached the semi-finals and after a very tough battle lost only her second fight.
Lewis Simmons received a knee to the groin in the semi-final and was unable to continue on any further in the competition. Lincoln Holder made it to the final, losing a narrow points victory to an amazing fighter with 10 title belts to his name.
