AN Alcester side missing eight players were well beaten by a much improved Coventrians team.
The Kings Coughton side’s relegation battle continues at home to Coventry Welsh on Saturday (2.15pm ko).
Alcester’s under-16s defeated Shipston 32-14, with Sam Smith scoring a hat-trick of tries, Alex Chiles bagging a brace and one for Ben Godson.
The second team are awaiting a new date for their Warwickshire Shield final after Sunday’s clash against Atherstone was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch in Leamington.
