REDDITCH gave Midlands Division Four West (South) leaders Harbury a fright in Saturday’s 17-10 loss.

The Kingfishers showed some good spells of rugby and were unlucky not to take more than just a bonus point.

After good work by Tom Saddington, Mark Green reached out to score a converted try.

Saddington then scored a penalty and was held up as he tried to score a second touch down but Harbury hit back with two tries, one converted, and a penalty to win the game.

Redditch have a two week break before travelling to Stoke Old Boys looking for an overdue win.

The seconds produced a strong performance in their 14-7 loss to Worcester Wanderers.

Captain Craig Martin elected to go down hill in the first half and they were soon putting pressure on the Wanderer’s defence.

But Worcester were tackling fiercely and holding everything that Redditch could throw at them.

Eventually the pressure told and Craig Dixon scooted over under the posts for a try, which was converted.

The but lead was short lived as Worcester hit back with two tries and a penalty.
