ALCESTER filled their boots against an inexperienced Kidderminster Carolians side as they romped to a 64-5 win in Saturday’s friendly.
With league games postponed for both senior teams at Alcester, the club took an A team to Kidderminster for this one-sided game.
Young winger Toby Allen scored the first of their four tries in the first half.
Louis Smith and Jack Green both ran in a pair of tries as Alcester crossed the line for ten tries in total.
Centre Ross Waterhouse topped an impressive debut with a second-half score, while fly-half Tom Alder bagged himself 19 points with a try and seven conversions.
This was useful work-out for Alcester ahead of a home game in the Midlands Division Four West (South) against Claverdon on Saturday.
The under-15s recovered from a first-half deficit to defeat Evesham 29-14.
A four-try burst saw the Kings Coughton men seal victory.
Tom Goddard opened the scoring but Evesham edged 7-5 ahead with a converted try.
A second seven-point effort then saw Evesham extend their lead to 14-5 at half-time.
Alcester hit back early in the second half and touchdowns for Cameron Hinckley and Goddard saw them edged 15-14 ahead.
Hinckley bagged two more tries to complete his hat trick, and despite a try by Evesham, Alcester’s dominant display sealed victory.
Meanwhile, the under-10s lost three tries to one and four tries to two against Evesham.
