ALVECHURCH boss Ross Thorpe is hoping his side can pull off another impressive win over an in-form side when they tackle second-placed Quorn at home on Saturday (3pm).
The Churchmen will be keen to repeat their excellent Boxing Day 3-0 win over Highgate United.
Saturday’s opponents go into the game at Lye Meadow in potent goal-scoring form, seeing off the likes of Dunkirk 7-0 and Westfields 4-0 in recent weeks and defeating Coleshill 2-1 on Saturday.
“I am good friends with the Coleshill manager and he tells me Quorn are a very good side,” said Thorpe.
“But if we can produce a repeat of the Highgate performance then we can get a result.”
Alvechurch saw Midland Alliance games against Tipton, Westfield and last night’s clash against Tividale postponed because of heavy rain.
