GRAHAM Whittingham claimed his second individual trophy of the season when he won Redditch Air Rifle League’s President’s Trophy.
Gaz Morris was the early leader of the tournament, which is held in the memory of Stuart Ross, with 47 shots but he was edged out by Whittingham.
In the league, Iain Marshall and John Cope top-scored as Rocklands saw off Studley Sports and Social 230-217 in the Redditch League.
Nomads were edged out 227-220 by Entaco, who had Andy Morris score 49.
During December shooters concentrated on individual competitions.
In the Golden Cross Individual Knockout many competitors shot well above there league average.
Sue Marshall impressed with a score off 28.2 with a maximum 30.6.
The other two ladies shot against each other at the second round stage, in what was the tightest competition of the night.
League stalwart Doreen Jay with 28 was beaten by league newcomer Sherri-Anne Pegg 28.1.
Morris shot the highest score of the night 30.5 in the second round and a 30.3 in the quarter final.
Whittingham recorded a 30.3 in the semi-final and clinched the title with a score of 30.1 in the final.
In the John Edgar Trophy, Alan Brookes recorded a winning score of 24, edging out Royston Pratt.
The lead had exchanged the league on several occasions.
