STUDLEY FC will expect nothing less than victory when they entertain mid-table Stafford on Saturday in the Midland Combination Premier (3pm ko).
Stafford will come into the game on the back of some up and down results, beating Pershore 3-1 and drawing 4-4 with Racing Club Warwick in recent weeks.
But manager Paul Smith believes his Bees must beat the likes of Saturday’s opponents if they are to mount a promotion challenge.
The Bees, who played Alvechurch in the Worcestershire Senior Urn last night, have also written to the league after Pelsall Villa called off their match at 11.30am on Saturday.
Villa, who have been struggling to field a team in recent weeks, blamed the cancellation on a waterlogged pitch and floodlight failure. Studley go to Blackwood on Boxing Day.
