KINGS Norton were left to rue a host of errors as they lost 36-10 in the Midlands Division Three West (South) on Saturday.

The injury-hit squad, which included debutant Cory Allen, resisted the home side’s efforts to break down their stout defence.

But Pinley finally broke their resistance with two tries to take a 12-0 head at the break.

Two more touch downs, one converted, saw Norton trailing 24-0. Kings’ forwards began to use their backs and after good work by Louis Stelling and Rob McGhee, Allen made no mistake to score his debut try in the corner.

The visitors suffered a setback when Pinley scored another converted try. Stelling then made a great break and scored Kings’ second try.

Kings, who have not won since the first game of the season, now have some time to regroup and plan for the second half of the season which starts at home to Southam on Saturday, January 4.
