Kings Norton 5, Pershore 29

ONCE again Kings Norton’s efforts were in vain as they constantly failed to take advantage of any possession they had worked so hard to gain.

The Hopwood-based side had begun positively, but soon the momentum ebbed away as they lost the ball on a number of different occasions in dangerous areas.

Meanwhile, the visitors capitalised and ran in three first-half tries, two of which were converted to end the half with a 19- point lead.

Richard Conlan, playing in the number nine position, scored a good consolation try, but Pershore added a further two unconverted scores to complete a miserable day for the home side.

With Evesham and Shipston bottom of the Midlands Division Two West (South), Norton remain third from bottom.

They visit leaders Pinley on Saturday (2.15pm ko).
