ROSS Danby produced an immaculate display to taste victory at Redditch Motorcycle Club’s Terry Cup Christmas Pudding trial.

Cloudy skies greeted the 100-strong entry on Sunday in Astwood Bank.

In the Pro Elite Expert class Redditch rider Danby, on his factory-built Jotagas, had a fantastic ride to take the win without dropping a single mark all day.

Rowney Green’s Ben Sprigg was runner-up.

Church Hill’s Steve Harris returned to competitive action following a broken thumb, by finishing in eighth.

Webheath’s Adam Cope, making his comeback after eight years out of the sport, took a creditable 11th.

In the very competitive clubman class, Ian Strudley, from Walkwood, finished 12th, but Ian Cook, from Crabbs Cross, was well off the pace and finished outside the championship points.

The masters class saw Dave Fowler, from Holberrow Green, ended in a disappointing 18th, but in the over 40s category Russell Sprigg came seventh.
