BOXING
ANDREW Robinson took a step closer to a British Masters title shot as he saw off Telford’s Keiron Gray on points at the Institute in Birmingham.
The 28-year-old came through his first six round professional bout with a shut-out 60-54 success.
Robinson is expected back in the ring in November at the Aston Villa Leisure Centre, which if he comes through will secure the super middleweight a title shot.
“Keiron was awkward, a slippery character but I was always in control,” said Robinson.
“It was good to finally be able box for a full six rounds and by the final ones I was only getting stronger.
D’ Animal has now won all eight of professional bouts in impressive fashion.
