REDDITCH teenager Trystan Finocchiaro missed a third place finish by a whisker at the first Aprilia Nitro Cup 125 British Championship meeting of the season.
The 14-year-old had recovered impressively from being sent to the back of the grid after incurring penalty and fought his way through the 35-rider race.
But he was just edged out at the death for a podium place.
The Studley High School pupil, who is sponsored by Redditch Motorcycles, Interlink Import, Redditch Tigers, Lingerie 24-7 and Psyben Ltd, turns his attention to Donnington Park over Easter weekend.
