Griffiths impresses in Leeds

SEDDITCH Swimming Club member Issy Griffiths was in excellent form at the British Gas International Open Meet in Leeds at the weekend.

The 13-year-old was second in her age group in the 800-metre freestyle and repeated the feat in the 1,500m, despite never racing in the distance previously.

Meanwhile, captain Paul Wilkes completed an astonishing achievement in winning a 10th consecutive 100 metre butterfly title at the Worcester County Championships in a time of 57.08 seconds.
