Feckenham in fine start to campaign

Going strong: Feckenham Village under-9s top their division in the Mercian Junior Festival League.
FECKENHAM Village under-9s are top of the table in the Mercian Junior Festival Football League.
The club are on a high after starting out last summer and are now three points clear in their division.
Feckenham administrator Peter Lane said: “After a lot of hard work and through a series of trials — we finally had a squad.
“Luckily we were accepted at the last minute in to the Mercian League and thanks to the incredible sponsorship from Oakland International, we were then able to purchase our kit, as well as the essentials of goal posts and balls.”
The club are also set to start a B team to enter the same league. Future developments also include creating a new under-9s team when the current side move up.
