Club to mark their century

REDDITCH Golf Club have revealed some of their plans to celebrate their centenary year.
The club are staging a Hickory Day tournament where players will use equipment harking back to 1913.
Supporters of Aston Villa, Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion will also be taking part in the Kevin Phillips Cup in honour of the much-travelled former footballer.
Representatives from Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland will be go head-to-head in the annual Battle of Grinsty Hill, which coincides with the start of the Six Nations rugby tournament next month.
Redditch will continue to raise money for chosen charity for the year Help for Heroes.
One of the highlights of the year will be the Centenary Concert to be held at the club on Saturday, July 13.
Captain Tom Sheldon said: “This is not only our centenary year, it is also the year in which local people can come and find out just what a sporting gem they have on their doorstep.”
“We intend to make 2013 a year to remember and will be announcing our full programme soon.”
