Woodrush well beaten

Pershore 34, Woodrush 0

WOODRUSH were well and truly beaten by a strong Pershore side, who scored six tries without reply in the Midlands Three West (South).

The visitors were without their half-back pairing of Titch Thomas and Steve Smart but there can be no excuses. They were beaten in just about every department.

However, locks Luke Russell and Matt Playford along with number eight Gary McGrann put in solid displays despite Pershore cruising to a 17-0 lead in as many minutes before doubling the score in the second period.

Woodrush host local rivals Kings Norton (2.30pm ko).

Before the match, Woodrush will be presented with their RFU Accreditation by North Midlands RFU officials for becoming only the fifth North Midlands Club to achieve this high standard.
