ALCESTER-based BDR Netball Club is going from strength-to-strength, with two teams currently competing in the Stratford Ladies Winter League.

Formerly known as the Toucans, BDR was created over four years ago for ladies who want to play netball for fun and fitness and to encourage mums back into the sport.

The club started with around 15 members and has steadily grown to more than 25 regulars.

In 2010, they entered the Stratford Ladies Winter League and despite coming last in Division Two in their first season they are improving every year.

They have had their kit provided by BDR Voice and Data Solutions in Stratford-upon-Avon. The club trains on a Thursday evening at Alcester Grammar School from 7pm to 9pm.
