Swimmers edged out
REDDITCH'S girls swam a very close gala at Droitwich, eventually losing to the hosts by just five points.
Starting the night off with a first place was Michaela Britt (13u) in the 100m breaststroke as did Bethany May (14u), followed by Lydia May (11u) and Sophie Bridgman (12u) 50m butterfly. They were followed by Danielle Harwood (14u) 100m fly, Laura Cranshaw (open) 100m IM and Lucy Corden (11u) 50m and Laura Cranshaw (open) 100m freestyle.
Second places went to Alice Fish (9) 1L breast, Nicola Moss (10u) and Lydia May (11u) 50m breast, Caitlin Green (10u) and Sam Lindsay (11u) 50m back, Emma Hardacre (12u) 50m free and Rachael Jones (open) 100m back and fly.
Third places were gained by Amelia Tompkin (9) 1L free, Michaela Britt (13u) and Bethany May (14u) 100m free, Lydia May (12u) 50m breast, Sophie Bridgman (12u) and Danielle Harwood (14u) 100m IM, Madeleine Jarvis (9) 1L fly and Abigail Humpreys (9) 1L back.
Swimmers gaining first, second and third places in the relays were Cassandra Robinson, Charlotte Hooper, Eleanor Mills, Emma Green, Harriet Jarvis, Molly Dutton and Suzie Britt while Eleanor Jarvis, Caitlin Britt, Isobel Wilson and Eve Parker were also involved.
