I WAS very interested to read the letter from Richard Timney regarding the issue of ID Cards.
One would imagine that this is a concerned citizen with no particular axe to grind except for his worries about security in this country of ours. Indeed, he is very well informed about the timing
of the first issue of these cards – well done!
Except that he certainly should be, he is the husband of our very own MP; yes, the Home Secretary herself – Jacqui Smith.
This is the gentleman who answers for (and defends) his wife to anyone who has the temerity to send e-mails questioning any issues his wife is challenged on. I was naive enough to believe I might
get a reply from my own MP, but ended up with endless replies from her husband – someone not elected by you or me.
If you don’t believe me, try asking your MP about an issue you are concerned about.
