MR Passingham is missing the point if he feels that the £10 film which Jacqui Smith inadvertantly claimed for, is the reason for all the bad feeling toward her.

The point is that she lied when she described Redditch as her second home even though she has made much, in the past, of the fact that her family live in her constituency, claiming that her sister’s spare room was her main home is what has upset her constituents.

We know and Jacqui knows and Ron Passingham knows that Jacqui’s home is in Redditch.

The bottom line is this, she lied to fleece her employer via expenses. Whether or not she is a good local MP (and I think that she has been) or a good Home Secretary is irrelevant.

She lied, she is guilty and she should go.

Of course she should not have resigned, she should have been sacked.
