Wonderful effort

THANK you very much to the paper and your readers for all your support over the past few weeks in the Support Our Soldiers Christmas Shoe Box Campaign.

The total number for our area was over 2,000, which made the total (so far for the whole country) over 9,000 parcels that have been sent to the troops.

There are too many people to thank individually but they include many local businesses and organisations - plus hundreds of members of the public with ther donations, made-up boxes, and Christmas cards.

Special thanks to the helpers - George, Collette, Mandy, Marie, Sharon and families for all their hard work, help and support.

A wonderful achievement from wonderful people.
